1st Postgraduate Course on Trauma & Emergency Surgery

The course was organized by the collaboration of Istanbul Medical School, Department of Surgery, Emergency Surgery Service and Turkish Association for Trauma & Emergency Surgery (TATES) at Talya Hotel, Antalya during August 30-31, 1999.

Lectures or panel talks were given by 18 experts in surgery, anesthesiology, radiology, orthopedics and neurosurgery. There was one invited speaker from France. The course was attended by 65 participants.

Main topics were: Trauma & emergency surgery overview, acute pancreatitis, surgical nutrition, GI bleeding, organ function monitorization in trauma patients, thoracic trauma, vascular emergencies. video session- how to do it?
